Our Story
At Gemini K9 Obedience Inc., our mission is rooted in experience, dedication, and a passion for dogs that spans over three decades. Our founder and head instructor, Christopher Rollox, began his journey in dog training more than 30 years ago, working with pet dogs and quickly gaining a reputation for his natural ability to understand canine behavior. Over the years, his skills expanded into specialized fields, including working with dogs for film and still photography, as well as training dogs for law enforcement agencies both locally and internationally. Christopher holds certifications from several prestigious institutions, including Professional Animal Behavior Associates (P.A.B.A), Olympus Dog Training Academy, and Wellington County School for Dogs and Security Dog Services Ltd. His training philosophy is grounded in a balanced approach that emphasizes communication, respect, and results, whether it’s for a family companion or a working K9. A seasoned Schutzhund trainer, competitor, and coach for over 27 years, Christopher has helped shape the careers of numerous handlers and dogs in the competitive world of IGP. His reach extends globally, having conducted law enforcement seminars and workshops overseas, bringing his expertise to professionals around the world. Locally, Christopher has shared his knowledge and passion through seminars, workshops, and live demonstrations at major events such as the Canadian Pet Expo, Toronto Sportsman Show, Cayuga Raceways, and Woofstock, among others. At Gemini K9, we take pride in our team. Every staff member is personally trained and mentored by Christopher Rollox. They are professional, courteous, and highly knowledgeable, ensuring that every client—whether two-legged or four—receives the highest standard of care and training. Akeem Norris, dog trainer, was extremely effective in teaching me how to handle my 8 year old pure bred white Swiss Shepherd, who had no previous training and is not spaded and is very intelligent and protective. She can open any doors and did much damage to my home. Her breed is used as police dogs in Switzerland, It was a long process and realization after issues I encountered with walking her in my neighbourhood, especially after my health problems in 2024 but this training has saved both of us and gave me confidence how to handle a strong and powerful dog, who is very sweet and loves people but shepherds are the most misunderstood dog because of their herding, leading nature and innate intelligence. Akeem thought me how to hold the leash properly and the commands and the prong collar really helps because she is very strong and because of my health issues she can easily overtake me. I wish I took her for training years ago. Thanks to the owners of the school because they are involved in the process behind the scenes to make a success of your training and make you a responsible dog owner.

After just one session Cooper was a joy to walk and so much better around visitors. Every session since he keeps getting better and better. Even my almost four years old grandson can handle him. Thank you Akeem for helping me bring out the good I knew my dog had in him!
